11 Major Projects of the central Council:
1)
Ozanam Bhavan Project:-
The
main aim of the project is to provide accommodation, counselling, medical and
legal assistance to the deserving poor
patients of nearby Calicut Medical College. This is a joint venture of C.S.T.
Fathers of St. Thomas Bhavan, Chelavoor,
Calicut District, and the Central Council of Thamarassery. The land, and building
is owned by the Central Council.
This Bhavan was inaugurated on 30 May 2000. Near about 400 out patients are
benefiting per month.
2) Ozanam Food Project:-
Supplying
cost free noon meal to poor patients and their attendants of Calicut Medical
College. About 400 persons are
benefiting daily. With active involvement, support and co-operation of 1115
members of 130 Conferences enable us to
carry out this Project with out having any interruption. The participation of
local Conferences of St. Joseph’s Church,Devagiri is enriching this Project. The preparation and distribution of food
is being done in premises of Carmelite fathers
of local Monastery This project was started on 1st May of 1998. Further,
supplying rice kanji to 200 patients and
their attendants of Beach Hospital, Calicut is a project of the Conferences
of St. Thomas Ladies and Men, Amalapauri Church, Calicut.
3) Mangala Vartha: Marriage Bureau:-
Started
a Marriage Bureau “Mangala Vatrtha” and accept registration in the prescribed
forms through Conferences.
Youths of Christian community can find out their suitable mates through this
Bureau.
