9. Brief History of the Central Council :
Patna Central Council was established in the year 1988 at Arch Diocese of Patna. Since then our Society is engaged in the work of Service for poors and helping to the sick and pained people. Although these works had been started from the very beginning of the Establishment of this conference in the year 1981, but those days we were attached to the Kolkatta Central Council. Today after twenty two years this Society had developed in Bihar and Patna Central Council has become a popular laity Service Organisation along with so many conferences.
Under the Patna Central Council they are 04 Particular Council, Patna P.C, Maner P/C, Champaran P.C, and Muzaffarpur P.C., 37 Conferences, Active members-315m, Auxiliary members 102 and Lady members-53. Under 22 Conferences are twinned and getting the help time to time. 07 Conferences are untwinned and 08 Conferences are Surrendered. 09 Conferences are twinned by England & Walre, 12 Conferences are twinned by Australia and 1 Conference is twinned by Scotland.
Patna, Bettiah, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur and Purnea Diocese are under Patna Arch, Diocese and 66,110 Catholic Population.
All members and spiritual Advisors to work taking together to serve the poor and needy with this the Glory of our Society will be mere High.
