OZANAM CENTER FOR MENTAL HEALTH, Thankey – Being located in the coastal belt of Arabian Sea, majority of population of the diocese consists of poor fishermen. There was no any dependable psychiatric hospital in the jurisdiction of the diocese, though there were enough such patients who could not afford to costly treatment in city hospitals. The need for a Psychiatric hospital was inevitable and the above hospital having a capacity of 50 beds that is licensed to the C.C. by CTC Sisters, is being run by us for the benefit of poor mental patients.
