9. Brief History of the Central Council :

he Mother of god Conference of St. Vincent de Paul Society in the diocese of Calicut was established in 1881,which was the foremost conference in Kerala and the second of its kind in India. The Central Council was established in 28-03-1976 and instituted in 22-01-1979.

11. Major Projects of the Central Council:

The Computer Education Centre is the major project of the central council. The main aim of the project is to promote computer literacy among the backward communities irrespective of caste and creed. The Institute comprises of six personal computers and a printer with a tubular battery and U.P.S. The total area of the Institute is 400 sq.feet. One of the systems is provided with internal modem and the Internet facility is made use of.
