A Report of Seminar of Buxar Central Council
The new Buxar Central Council was established on 4th November 2007 at Ara by Rt. Rev.William D'Souza S.J. Bishop of Buxar Diocese.
The first Seminar of Buxar Central Council was conducted on 13th to 15th June 2008 at Catholic High School, Ara. The Seminar Started on 13th June 2008 at 4:00 p.m. and was Inaugurated with lighting of the lamp by Rev. Fr. Jose Perumalil, Representative of Buxar Diocese, Rev. Fr. Joseph Pullickal SJ. the Spiritual advisor of Buxar Central Council and Bro. Pradeep Kumar, the President of Buxar Central Council.
The Seminar was to train the SSVP members. This Seminar was for all the Conferences Board Members. Altogether 30 members Participated in this Seminar.
Buxar Central Council President Bro. Pradeep Kumar welcomed the chief guests and all SSVP members. In the Inauguration speech Rev. Fr. Jose Perumalil said that as Blessed Frederick Ozanam's.
The first talk was by Bro. Phagu Master, the Vice-President of Buxar C.C in which he threw light on the organizational set- up of the SSVP. The second talk was by Rev. Fr. Jose Perumalil. He talked about the positive and negative aspects of a leader. He said that Jesus Christ was a true leader. In the third talk given by Sr. Sophia, the Secretary of Buxar C.C., explained the role of Women in Society. She said that both Women and girls do the same services as men. If we feel the need for a Youth/Women's Conference, then we should go ahead and start one.
The fourth talk on the functioning of SSVP was given by Bro. Pradeep. He spoke in detail about our visits, how meetings are conducted and stages of SSVP. The fourth talk delivered by Br. Jitendra Kumar dwelt on the theme - who am I? Am I a mere social worker? No! The Bible says.
"I was hungry. you gave me to eat ...................... "
In the sixth talk. Sr. Pradeep elaborated the subjects of Aggregation, Twinning, Institution, Medical. I. r form. Projects and Annual report. In the seventh talk, the treasurer of Buxar C.C. Bro. Jitendra Kumar explained the importance of Accounts in the Society.
A group discussion was conducted by Br. Phagu Master. The question for group discussion was How does ssvp works? How can ssvp President lead? If you were the ssvp President, how would you run it? Every group secretary submitted a summary of the discussion. The next talk was by Hr. Mukesh Kumar. the youth representative of Buxar C.C. He said that Frederick Ozanam was a young man when he started with his works at the age of 20 years. If you feel the need for opening a youth Conference, you can do so.
The Spiritual advisor of Buxar C.C Rev. Fr. Joseph Pulickal S.J. spoke on the theme of "Christianity and National organization. How do people perceive Indian Christian? What is our image in our country? There is great appreciation for what we are doing for our Motherland because we are gemine, hard-working and loyal.
On the 14th June 2008 evening a Quiz programme was conducted jointly by Br. Naresh Kumar, the Project Officer of Buxar C.C and Br. Mukesh Kumar, the Youth Representative of 8uxar Cc. All the questions of the quiz were from topics related to SSVP. The prizes were distributed by Rev. Fr. Joseph Pulickal S.J.

On the 15th June, the last day, the programme started with Holy Mass with the Parishners. After the Mass we had evaluation of the whole seminar. It was conducted by Br. Jitendra Kumar, the Treasurer of Buxar C.C. After this, all the members of Buxar C.C met for a while.
As conclusion, certificates were distributed to all. Then all presents shouted the slogan "Deen Dukhiyon ka Hai Yeb Samaj - SSVP Hamara Hai"

INAUGURAL REPORT OF BUXAR CENTRAL COUNCIL
Patna Central Council On 14th November 2007 Buxar Central Council of St. Vincent de Paul Society was inaugurated by Moat Rev. William D’Souza, S.J. Archbishop of Patna Arch: Diocese at Arrah Parish, Bhojpur. On the occasion Bro. Stanley Michael, NIRC, Co-ordinator was present. Bro. Joseph Pandian, NCI President and Bro. J. Arockiasamy were ready to come but they did not get the confirmed Rail Reservation to Patna and back. At last moment they have to cancel their programme to visit Patna. However, the other members were present there for the inauguration. Brother Joseph Francis and alt the Board members of paths cc were there with other conference members. Catholic High school, Arrah Hostel boys’ took part in the programme.
Holy Mass was offered by Most Rev. D’Souza, S.J. with Rev. Father Joseph Pulickal, S.J., Superior of the Arrah parish and attended by all the members and Parishioners. In the Holy Mass Archbishop says: “ The society of Vincent de Paul was started by a young man Frederic Ozanam with his four friends in France in the year 1853, to help the poor and needy with their own fund and energy…...
After the Holy Mass programme of inauguration was started in School Ha which was full with all the members and school hostel children. Brother Joseph Francis, President of Patna Central Council welcome Archbishop Bro. Stanley Michael and all the members of SSVP, Parishioners, Hostel boys. Children of Arrah Parish sang a welcome song and offered Garland to Archbishop, Bro. Staley, Bro. Pradeep Joseph, new Buxar Central Council president and to others guests.

Archbishop says I am very happy today to inaugurate Buxar Central Council here in Buxar Diocese. It is just one and half years old Diocese and God gave this Blessing to us which was not given to many old Dioceses of Bihar. So let us give thanks to our Lord and also to the NCI, NIRC and Patna Central Council Presidents for their helps. He congratulate Bro. Pradeep and advice alt the members of S.S.V.P to take the responsibilities to take care of the poor and needy of the Diocese.
Brother Stanley Michael, NIRC Co-ordinator, gave Rs. 10,000/- Ten thousand to Bro. Pradeep Joseph, New Central Council President, given by NCI and congratulate him. He also gave many good advices to him to run the Buxar Central Council. Bro Francis, President of Patna CC, gave letter head (Pads) receipts books, envelops and rule books of the society with congratulation to Bro. Pradeep. Rev. Fr. Joseph Pulickal, superior of Catholic Church, Arrah also gave congratulation to brother Pradeep and said we are the body of Christ. We should take care of each other. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is doing a good works as Christ says.
Bro.Francis Xavier, Secretary of the Patna Central Council gave a short report on the new Central Council and said this is the 71 Central Council in India and 10th Central Council in NIRC. There are 17 Conferences and two Area Councils in this Central Council. He also congratulated Bro. Pradeep.
Bro. Pradeep took oath infront of every one in the hail to do his works as the president of Buxar Central Council. He gave thanks to Archbishop, Bro. Stanley, Bro. Joseph and ala, to all the Board members of the Patna Central Council; He appointed his Board members. He gave thanks to Rev. Fr. and also to at Fathers and sisters of the parish He gave thanks to his parents, wife and all the parishioners for their helps and Co operations in his works.
At the end of the programme Bro. Joseph Francis requested Archbishop to give us your Blessing so that we can do our works better way in future. Archbishop gave his blessing to all and the programme was ended with Lunch.
